Lovely small hotel in fantastic location on the main plaza. Light, modern and well equipped bedrooms with attractive bathroom and great shower. We had a quiet room overlooking the attractive internal courtyard, nicely furnished with sofas, tables and chairs as an outdoor lounge. Just as well as the plaza was buzzing with life! Super helpful and friendly staff. Particularly when we had to extend our stay because of illness. They reorganised the bookings to let us stay on in the room. Tasty, reasonably priced breakfast with great selection of fresh cut fruit, breads, cheeses, hams, and prepared tomato etc, as well as local baked goods, freshly squeezed orange juice and good coffee. We reserved the secure parking which was spacious and just round the corner… really perfect place to stay in Sanlucar, right in the centre and easy walks to the sea and boat to Donana, and the upper town with the palaces and bodegas etc. We’ll be back!!

Location: Could not be more central as it is on the main square, yet very quiet. Parking was secure and a minute's walk away costing €9 a day (booked in advance). I would also recommend the ten minute walk to the Barrio Alta, for a more 'local' bar experience, although bars on the main square, particularly Balbino, are very good. Room: Very clean. Beds were very comfy with good linen. Balcony overlooking the courtyard area. Air con very efficient and quiet. Fridge with complementary water. Bathroom: Very clean. Good shower over bath, sink with space for potions and lotions, bidet and loo. Nice towels Common areas: Airy reception/lounge area with comfy seating. Lifts to upper floors. Breakfast area inside or outside in courtyard with water feature and plants. Gorgeous roof terrace with shade and sun. Comfy seating or sun loungers and lots of well kept plants.

The hotel is an excellent choice. With its two stars it is much under-rated. From bathroom size, facilities (minibar) etc it is definitely a three-star hotel. Breakfast very good. Parking possibility (affordable!) is another big plus of this hotel. Location is beyond discussion. Outside it was extremely loud and crowded (Moto GP weekend in Jerez), after closing the window all was quiet. Setting a new standard for two-star hotels!

Very good hotel, really in the centre of Sanlucar. The rooms were good, good breakfast. The staff was very helpful. Our friend had to be hospitalised and we got good support from the staff. Thank you Martha! The hotel has 2 stars, and I have been in 4 star hotels less comfortable than the Barrameda hotel. For me it is at least a 3 star if not a 4 star hotel.

Dirk

Amazing location overlooking the square, we were at the front, but the sound insulation was pretty good. Lovely breakfast with good choices, good coffee and fresh orange juice. But for us it was the roof terrace that made this hotel, and being there out of season we pretty much had it to ourself!
